Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha/Moshi – Tarangire National Park – Karatu
Your 3-Day Tanzania Safari begins in the morning with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. After a short briefing with your safari guide, drive toward Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful and wildlife-rich parks.
Tarangire is particularly famous for its impressive elephant herds, giant baobab trees and seasonal Tarangire River, which attracts large numbers of animals during the dry season. During your game drive, keep an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes and a wide variety of antelope species.
After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, continue toward the Karatu area for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu
After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive.
Often described as one of Africa’s natural wonders, the crater provides a remarkable wildlife experience within its enclosed ecosystem. The crater floor is home to large concentrations of wildlife, giving you excellent opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos and other animals.
With some luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhinoceros in the open grasslands. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before continuing your game drive and taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding crater walls.
In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and return to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic park situated beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment.
Enjoy a game drive through the park’s diverse habitats, including lush groundwater forests, open grasslands and wetlands. Lake Manyara is home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, hippos and a variety of monkeys and baboons.
The park is also famous for its abundant birdlife and, when conditions are right, large flocks of flamingos around the lake. Keep your eyes open for Lake Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions resting in the branches of acacia trees.
After your game drive, enjoy lunch before beginning your journey back to Arusha or Moshi, where your safari ends.
