Living with the Maasai – A Journey into Tradition, Nature & Community

This unique cultural adventure invites you to live alongside Maasai families in a remote village, gaining first-hand insight into their traditions, resilience, and way of life. Day 2 – Living Like a Maasai

Wake before sunrise to join Maasai herders as they prepare livestock for the day’s journey. Walk alongside them across the open plains while learning why cattle remain the heart of Maasai culture. After breakfast, spend time with Maasai women learning traditional crafts, beadwork, and the symbolism behind the vibrant colours of Maasai jewellery.

Day 3: Full-Day Serengeti National Park

Spend the entire day exploring the magnificent Serengeti. With a full day dedicated to game viewing, you have more time to explore different areas of the park and search for its incredible wildlife.

The Serengeti is home to some of Africa’s highest concentrations of large predators. Look for lions resting on rocky outcrops, cheetahs hunting across the open plains, and elusive leopards hidden among trees.

If you travel during the right season, you may also witness parts of the Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the Serengeti ecosystem in search of fresh grazing and water.

Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, giving you another opportunity to experience its spectacular wildlife and landscapes.

Afterward, depart the Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy the changing scenery as you travel from the endless Serengeti plains toward the highlands surrounding the Ngorongoro Crater.

Arrive at your accommodation for dinner and overnight, ready for an exciting crater adventure the following day.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha/Moshi

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. Often described as one of Africa’s greatest natural wildlife sanctuaries, the crater is home to a remarkable concentration of animals.

Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and other wildlife. With luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before ascending and beginning your journey back to Arusha or Moshi, where your 5-day Tanzania safari adventure comes to an end.
