Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Arusha, heading towards Tarangire National Park. The park is renowned for its spectacular scenery, dominated by ancient baobab trees, seasonal wetlands, and the Tarangire River, which attracts large concentrations of wildlife during the dry season.

Enjoy a full-day game drive in search of elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and numerous antelope species. Tarangire is particularly famous for its impressive elephant herds and offers excellent opportunities for wildlife photography.

After your game drive, continue to your accommodation in the Karatu area for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer from Karatu to Central Serengeti national park

After breakfast, our driver guide will pick up you and drive to Central Serengeti Park for wildlife sighting. Enjoy lunch in a suitable picnic site inside the park. In the afternoon we will continue for the game drive activity before reaching the camp. The following day we will spend full day inside this park for game drives.

Serengeti National Park is famous for its great migration of millions of wildebeest, herds of zebra and antelopes which are migrating together depending on the rainy seasons searching for their fresh grasses, pastures and water. Be ready to see many different wild animals here within a minute including resident predators, leopard, cheetah, and lion, fulfilling their role in the circle of life.

Day 3: Transfer from Central Serengeti National Park to North Serengeti Park

Rise early for a hearty breakfast before embarking on an unforgettable journey to the Northern Serengeti. With picnic lunch in hand, we’ll head to the Mara River, where the Great Migration unfolds in all its glory. Our expert guide will lead you to prime viewpoints, where you’ll witness thrilling encounters between crocodiles and wildebeest, and the predators, lions, leopards, and cheetahs stalking their prey. This is nature at its most raw and captivating!

The Great Migration is the largest herd movement of wildebeests, Zebra and other animals crossing Mara River to Masai Mara in Kenya. Migration crosses Mara River that is full of Crocodiles. The best time to visit and explore Great Migration is from July to early October every year.

Day 4: Safari from Northern Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Wake up and take your breakfast which is followed by morning game drive, later slowly start drive through Serengeti to Ngorongoro.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area, known as “Africa’s Eden” and one of the world’s natural wonders, is home to around 30,000 animals. Tourists flock to the crater to see wildlife such as grazing zebra, wildebeest, and lions basking in the sun. In the mornings, endangered black rhinos roam the misty grasslands. Outside the crater, Maasai herders tend their cattle on the lush highlands.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha/Moshi

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. Often described as one of Africa’s greatest natural wildlife sanctuaries, the crater is home to a remarkable concentration of animals.

Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and other wildlife. With luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before ascending and beginning your journey back to Arusha or Moshi, where your 5-day Tanzania safari adventure comes to an end.
